BANANA YUCCA SPECIES : Yucca baccata MATURITY The banana yucca first flowers at 2 to 3 years of age, and mature plants flower approximately every 2 years if rainfall is sufficient. The flowering period is generally from April to June depending upon latitude and elevation. The fruits and seeds of the banana yucca are edible.
