Railroads

Mojave Desert Class I Railroad Infrastructure

Historic Class I Railroads

Each (Historic) Class I railroad operates in multiple states over thousands of miles of track. These were the largest carriers, and accounted for the majority of the rail infrastructure in the Mojave. Class I railroads were responsible for long haul freight. These railroads, although under different names and corporations, are still operating and make up the modern Mojave Desert railroad network.
